Zambia, Opposition Party Warned its Members to Refute NDF Resolution

NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS, Freetown, Sierra Leone- Members of the opposition UPND has received stringent warnings from its party hierarchy not to favor resolutions of the National Dialogue Forum when presented in the currently sitting of Parliament.
Recently held National Dialogue Forum (NDF) in Lusaka, some UPND law makers attended the proceedings against the party leadership with party leader Hakainde Hichilema saying those who attended should not be punished.
Charles Kakoma- UPND spokes person has furnished the media that, the party Chief Whip will monitor the conduct of the Parliamentarians and whoever will vote in favor of the NDF resolutions will face the consequences of disregarding the party position. Ambrose Lufuma – UPND Deputy Chief Whip says; the party Member of Parliament has pledged to defend the interest of majority Zambians by not supporting the NDF resolutions once they are brought before Parliament. And Lufuma in an interview has charged that, the UPND is aware of some politicians who have embarked on a mission to cause disunity among the opposition MPs by buying them so that, they support the NDF resolutions in Parliament.
Precisely Lufuma says the fifty- five laws makers have pledged their loyalty to their leader and that the schemes by the said politicians will not materialize.
