Transformer Commissioned by the Ministry of Energy and Power Minister of Energy at the Rokel Community in Western Rural District of Sierra Leone

NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- Alhaji Kanja Sesay, Minister of Energy and Power of the Republic of Sierra Leone has entrusted a 400KVA transformer at the Rokel community in the Western Rural District of the West Africa nation.
In his statements, the Minister noted that; Rokel has been out of electricity since 2018, pointing out that this designating the 400KVA would relieve long-standing challenge and shall increase the aspect of electricity merchandise and shall enhance service delivery.
Commissioning the 400KVA transformer, Kanja Sesay declared openly, the occasion is exhilarating in the sense that, it has put a stop to the daunting two years power scarcity at the Rokel community. He asserted that, the transformer is eligible of satisfactorily fulfilling the electricity needs of Rokel community.
Minister Kanja Sesay remarked that, the scheme is in gratification of President Bio-led government ’s matter-of-fact to facilitate expansion through the development of energy supply infrastructure. He advised the inhabitants to take possession of the transformer and protect it for their benefit.
On behalf of the Member of Parliament for the constituency who doubles as Chairman of Rokel Community devoted helping with the Ministry of Energy and EDSA in the fight to guarantee that; corruptible EDSA staff who conspire with residents to commit in illicit connection are exposed and face the law.
Installation of transformers in Freetown and its environs is part of the Energy Sector Utility Reform Project which aims at increasing access to electricity and strengthening quality service delivery to subscribers.
Natives ensured the Energy Minister of their responsibility to put mechanisms in place for the protection and safety of the transformer.
