NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- The induction arose based on the 73rd FIFA Congress due in Kigali on March 16th 2023 at BK Arena. President Kagame thanked FIFA President for his undertaking in boosting football in the world and let out that, the stadium will enable local talents to go constantly extra mile and ultimately excel like Pelé.
Pelé’s, actual name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento is a Brazilian football professional born on 23rd, of October 1940 and passed on 29th, December 2022.
Arsene Wenger 73, who coached Arsenal FC from 1996 to 2018 and s the FIFA Chief of Global Football Development said, “Hosting the FIFA Congress is a big boost for Rwanda’s Tourism Industry”.
Wenger added that “in identifying talent, it is important African players get high-quality coaching and regular competitive football and the benefits would be seen in the short term if African member associations acted efficiently on the advice provided via the various strands of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme”.
In this regard, the blastoff of the stadium was obeyed by an inaugural football game that confronted a team that was dubbed Rwanda against FIFA participants. Team Rwanda composed of President Kagame won the game 3-2 in a game that was originally meant to linger for 11 minutes but took longer than that according to onlookers.
