    NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone– Dr. John Pombe Magufuli published on March 17th, 2021 disclosed that President Magufuli died of heart disease at about 6:00 PM at Mzena Hospital in Dar es Salaam where he was admitted on March 14th, 2021.

    In this regard, Tanzania’s new President – Samia Suluhu Hassan stated on Friday March 19th, 2021 that the United Republic of Tanzania should unite the more and resist pointing fingers after the passing of President Magufuli. Hassan took her oath of office with the Quran in a ceremony held at State House in Tanzania’s commercial capital – Dar es Salaam. She makes history as the first female head of state in the country of 58 million people. Samia Suluhu Hassan was Vice President since 2015, gave a terse and dreary address after she was sworn in as President of the United Republic of Tanzania. “This a time to bury our differences and be one as a nation”, she noted. “This is not a time for finger pointing, but it is a time to hold hands and move forward together”.

    The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Editor- Mr. MBowe, Chairman, Board Members and Correspondents of Africa’s digital and fastest growing online newspaper are saddened by the demise of the award winner of Africa’s President of the Year 2020-2021. “It’s believed that President Magufuli was one of Africa’s true sons of the soil that prioritized Africa. And that the passing of Magufuli is a deep wound in Africa”,  Mr.  MBowe  noted at the headquarters of the New Africa Business News in  Denver Colorado USA.

    It was as recent as January 1st, 2021 that President Magufuli won the award of excellence as Africa President of the Year 2020-2021 by the New Africa Business News annual award, along side HE Ambassador Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao as Africa Person of the Year 2020-2021 followed by Ambassador Abdul Rahman Musa Suagibu Bangura in Sierra Leone as Africa’s Journalist of the Year 2020-2021 and Richard Adorsu in Ghana as Africa’ Reporter of the Year 2020-2021 respectively.
