Egypt makes history of building World’s fourth-largest Photovoltaic Power Plant Complex in Southern Aswan Province

NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- Across the globe, thirty developers were asked to build plants on different plots, some of which have banked on Chinese technologies and equipment. The project has evolve a model for China-Egypt cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Benban Solar Park is found in Egypt’s Western Desert region, one of the driest and hottest places on Earth. To adequately curb the amount of sunlight, the administration of Egypt inaugurated an agenda to assemble a photovoltaic park.
Thirty developers from around the planet were asked for to assemble solar power plants on forty one constituent plots. Two Chinese firms were chartered with six plants, with a collective output accounting for 20% of the park’s total.
Being the world’s 4th largest photovoltaic power system, the park’s 7 million PV panels are noticeable even from space. The solar park has been assembled to Egypt’s National Grid since 2019, giving permanent power to 420,000 households The administration has similarly published monument coins to dedicate the accomplishment of renewable energy production.
