    NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- The issuing of 32,800 by the Administration of Angola is anticipated to benefit 200 peasants from the Angola’s 164 municipalities, Minister of Public Works and Spatial Planning divulged.

    Manuel Tavares de Almeida ascertained…while communicating at the land concession titles launch ceremony carried in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, Luanda province. He confirmed, the challenge was launched in 2018 in a bid to obtain aid and social safety to the most vulnerable groups, primarily peasants, through the “Minha Terra” programme.

    On October 09th, 2021 20 of the 200 peasants in the regions of Sacrifício and Dungo, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, prospered from land titles.

    The project “Minha Terra”, coordinated by the Minister of State and Head of the Civil Affairs Office to the Presidency of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, is aimed at to encourage the peasants to amass land rights, via customary law, and dissuade them from being usurped.

    According to Adão de Almeida, henceforth, no one can ensue with any statement and dispossess and obtain the lands of these populations. He expanded that, the Executive is establishing centers for family farming and other agricultural projects to have satisfactory circumstances, forecasting nicer outcomes for boosting national
    production, reducing poverty and obliterating hunger in the nation.

    The ceremony was observed by the Governor of Luanda province Ana Paula de Carvalho, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment Jomo Fortunato, Minister of Social Action and Family and the Promotion of Women Faustina Alves.
