United Nations Development Programme Governance and Peacebuilding Africa Coordinator Roselyn Akombe Publicized that she has Relinquished job in the the U.S as the Chief of Policy at the Policy and Mediation Division, Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs at the UN in New York

NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- Erstwhile IEBC Commissioner, Roselyn Akombe has declared openly that, she has resigned from the US where she functioned as the Chief of Police at the Policy and Mediation Division, Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs at the United Nations in New York.
In a news on January 4th, 2021, Akombe asserted that, she would be paying dividends to Africa and would be based in Ethiopia.
“Thrilled to join the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) today as the Governance and Peacebuilding Africa Coordinator at the Regional Hub in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,” she acknowledged in a tweet.
She furthermore conveyed fervor that, her recent position encompasses her enthusiasm for development.
“After 14 years on the political side of the UN family, glad to switch to my other passion development,” Akombe stated.
She was in the international and NGO sector having been an activist in her initial years. She also once operated with the African Union as an economist. Akombe is a proponent for the safety of human rights, social justice, environmental protection, and inclusion of youth and women in all political and socio-economic realms of life.
Before her work with the African Union, and the United Nations, she was effective in the Kenyan students’ movement, civil society and the women’s movement. She proceeded activism in the US with Women Rising Inc that concentrates on economic chances for Black women. Akombe favors various purposes committed to social justice and the full stake of youth and women in all facets of life.
