In a quest of a better Integrated Mainland to rival Europe’s Schengen zone Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame announces Visa-Free Travel to all Africans in a bid to strengthen Free Movement and Trade

NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS (NABN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- This Declaration has situates Rwanda as the latest African country to take on such a measure, converging others in the intent of an integrated mainland to rival Europe’s Schengen zone.
The Schengen zone, consisting of 27 European nations, has successfully eradicated the requirement for passports and various border control measures at their shared borders.
According to news, Kagame disclosed his strategies during a speech in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. He accentuated the notable potential of Africa as a unified tourism terminus.
The mainland laboriously relies on tourists from outside Africa, estimation for 60% of its total visitors, according to data from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
“Any African can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish and they will not pay a thing to enter our country,” said Kagame during the 23rd Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
“We should not lose sight of our own continental market. Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle class continues to grow at a fast pace in the decades to come,” he noted.
Rwanda is hovered to evolve the latest African country to wipe out travel restrictions for fellow Africans, following in the footsteps of The Gambia, Benin, and Seychelles.
Likewise, in a contemporary outgrowth, Kenya’s President – William Ruto has rshown schedules to authorize visa-free travel to Kenya for all Africans by December 31st, 2023.
