NEW AFRICA BUSINESSNEWS- Gambia, United Democratic Party right activist, SOLO SANDENG met his untimely death during a pro Democracy rally against the despotic leadership of Ex President Jammeh along side with other UDP political stake holders like leader – Lawyer OUSAINOU DARBOE and others.
The UDP party is the second largest political party in the Gambia during the Jammeh era. A party that has successfully participated in numerous elections years with tenacity and courage to take over the mantle of leadership from Ex-president Yahya Jammeh
During the commemoration ceremony, The UDP party hierarchy and Human Rights activists celebrated the late Solo Sandeng and honor him in absentia as a National Hero that sacrificed his life in the Liberation struggle to restore Democratic and Constitutional values in the Gambia alongside with other political stakeholders who lost their lives on the process.
With the swift change of event and political transformation cress crossing the continent. The Gambia took the bull by the horn through a coalition of political parties and save the country from the dark cloud.
