NEW AFRICA BUSINESS NEWS, Banjul, The Gambia- Mali and Burkina Faso is in the Continuous mist of insurgent attacks by unidentified assailants that killed four catholic priests in a church in the North part of the Sahel border with Mali and Burkina Faso. From eye witness account, this is said to be the third attacks against Christians in a month by Islamic jihadists mostly associated with sectarian violence going on in that area of west African region of the Sahel.
A sad scenario that has continuously threatens the Muslim majority in the North and Christian Minority population in that region.
This sent a sad signal that West African Region of the Sahel is relatively in a deep trouble with attacks links to Islamic States and AL QAEDA . These two groups have continuously surged close attacks in both Mali and Burkina Faso across the Northern border and expand to the south of the Sahara desert.
A scenario that posed serious ethnic tension between farming and herds communities in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.
However, no one has so far claimed responsibility for all the concurrent attacks. By and large , the incidents have left great suspicion that such orchestrated attacks were carried out by Islamic Fundamentalist groups.
