This sent a sad signal that West African Region of the Sahel is relatively in a deep trouble with attacks links to Islamic States and AL QAEDA . These two groups have continuously surged close attacks in both Mali and Burkina Faso across the Northern border and expand to the south of the Sahara desert.

A scenario that posed serious ethnic tension between farming and herds communities in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.
However, no one has so far claimed responsibility for all the concurrent attacks. By and large , the incidents have left great suspicion that such orchestrated attacks were carried out by Islamic Fundamentalist groups.
