One major reason that prompted a military threat by the AFRICAN UNION and the West African Regional block –ECOWAS to applied military options when all peaceful negotiations fails to resolve the political impasse. A military threat that sent him on exile to EQUATORIAL GUINEA.
The US States Department reiterates that, Former president JAMMEH is now being barred from entering the USA under a category that applies to all foreign government officials who are believed to have committed serious corruption and human rights violations and abuse in their respective countries. Most importantly as the current administration reportedly told the world that Ex president JAMMEH allegedly Stole, from the country state’s coffers a whooping sum of $50Million or more, while in office.
This in addition affects even to his close immediate family members like the former Gambian first lady and wife– ZAINAB YAYAH JAMMEH, their daughter MARIAMA JAMMEH and son MOHAMED JAMMEH.
Ex president JAMMEH, attended a Military training course in ALABAMA, USA and owns an estate in POTOMAC in MARYLAND he bought from a former AMERICAN basket ball player –CALBERT CLEANEY at the tune of $3.5Million about 24 kilometers from WASHINGTON DC.
