President Donald Trump welcomed on Tuesday to the White House, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el- Sisi. The Sixty- Four year old former Egyptian Army General that took power in 2013 military coup. Seeking to amend his Country’s Constitution to allow him to be able to run as a President for two more Six year terms. President Trump was asked if he backed efforts to President Sisi to potentially stay in power for two Fifteen more years, Mr. Trump said I think he’s doing a great job and a great President.
The two Presidents meetings focused on security, economy and human rights. Mr. Trump congratulates President Abdel Fattah el- Sisi on re- election. The Presidents affirmed the strategic partnership between the two Countries. They look forward to advancing this partnership between Egypt and the United States and work to address common challenges.
President Trump praised, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al- Sisi as a great President and Mr. Sisi to Mr. Trump through an interpreter all the credit goes to you, Mister President. Thank you very much for your support on all fronts.
United States Congress has set aside $1.4 billion in aid to Egypt in recent years. A bipartisan group of United States Lawmakers raised concerns about President Abdel Fattah el- Sisi’s record on human rights. Egypt reported signing with Russia $2 billion deal to buy more than 20 Sukhoi su -35 fighter jets and weapons for their aircraft.
