Tanzania’s membership in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has opened an important door for the South African firm, Trellidor, to penetrate and expand its business wings in Tanzania.

Trellidor Tanzania Country Manager Mr Ryan Atkinson said at the weekend in Dar es Salaam that SADC region offers good trade and investment opportunities to invest in Tanzania.

Trellidor is an international company that manufactures security materials as well as motorized aluminium shutters.

“Without the community our job would be more difficult due to various different conditions set by the different governments. We are happy that Tanzania’s membership in SADC has simplified matters and offered us this opportunity to bring our products to the Tanzania’s public,” said Mr Atkinson.

He said it was important that the country continue sticking in the SADC block that has over 15 countries and offers good investment opportunities in the region for international firms as well as increases the competition in the market.

He said just like any other country, Tanzania has many opportunities to grow economically if more investors have financial muscle to invest.

However, he said, they were excited to be present in the Tanzanian market and strongly believe that their products offered the best choice.

“Our products can be designed to fit doors, windows, patios, passages, stairs and other openings. An individually tailored security solution may be required from a selection of units from different ranges all of which work together for your safety,” he said.
