Some members of the Nigeria Football Federation has hinted that the head coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi will submit his provisional team list before May 13. FIFA had set May 13 as the deadline date for all the teams to submit their team list for the 2014 World Cup squad. “The provisional squad for the World Cup will be the squad for the May 28 friendly against Scotland in London and that would mean it will be made public before the May 13 deadline for the submission of provisional squads by World Cup finalists,” an official revealed to us. The officials explained that they are waiting to see whether skipper Joseph Yobo will be retained on the squad after an injury stopped him from making the recent warm-up against Mexico. Those who could miss the world cup are Villarreal striker Ike Uche and Stoke’s Odemwingie Osaze whom Keshi said they are not tactically disciplined to be on his team. The squad will depart from London and fly to their training base in Houston, Texas, where they would play two more warm-up games against United States of America and Greece before they depart for Brazil on June 11.
